To accompany the welding process, we bring the material to the necessary temperature. For special steel alloys and application scenarios of the components to be welded, an accompanying, process-safe preheating is absolutely necessary.
To reduce the thermal stresses introduced by the welding process, we stress relieve the affected components. Stress-relief annealing restores the microstructural properties required for the use of the component and reduces the hardness values increased by the welding process.

To eliminate hydrogen embrittlement in the component, we heat the components to 200°C-300°C in a controlled manner, keeping this temperature constant for several hours. Soaking is always used when the hydrogen is introduced during the welding process or also during electroplating damages the technical properties of the material and is to be removed again by the heat treatment.

The cooling causes the applied component to shrink and thus sit press on the inner component. The principle can also be applied to the disassembly of the outer component.
